What is this?
It's a challenge predicting when the blossoms will open. The trees might not be in full bloom yet, but we're not waiting - still things to see. Bundle up! It will be cold but sunny.
Special Thursday Walk! Spring is here and the cherry blossoms are at peak (we hope!) at the Horticulture Center in Fairmount Park.
After carpooling from Falls Library, we'll meet in the parking lot across from the entrance to the Horticulture Center, and wander. We'll visit the avenue of cherry trees behind the Horticulture Center, circle around the Japanese House, and maybe explore the wooded area nearby.
Please register on-line or by calling
267-444-4507
(M-F, 9-6) so we can let you know if plans change. But feel free to show up even if you haven't registered.
Accessibility: We will walk some distance on paved surfaces without steps. Slopes are gentle except for the optional walk into the woods.
Everyone welcome. Free. Registration recommended.
