CANCELED - STAY DRY TODAY!
Hal Rosner is a certified arborist with
Shechtman Tree Care
. You may have joined his Zoom presentation on "Strategies for Planting and Maintaining Trees in a Changing Climate" in 2020. Now is your chance to see him in person, with
fellow arborist Brice Dorwar
t.
They will lead us through McMichael Park and nearby streets, telling us of the many species of trees in our neighborhood. Learn about tree identification, drought and watering, and biodiversity. And ask about your favorite tree.
Do register in advance, either online or by calling
267-444-4507
(M-F, 9-6), so we can tell you if plans change because of the weather.
McMichael Park will be busy that day! Stop by after our walk to enjoy Fall Festival!
Getting there: We'll meet at the silver bench on McMichael Street, about halfway between Coulter Street and Midvale Avenue. If driving, avoid Coulter Street, as food vendors will be setting up there; also Midvale Avenue may be busy as artisans and other vendors set up.
Accessibility: We'll be standing and walking on sidewalks and grass for some time - perhaps an hour or more.
Everyone welcome. Free. Registration strongly encouraged.
