About this event
A Free Ralston Education Session: Hospice and palliative care are specialized types of medical care for people living with serious illnesses, such as cancer, dementia, or heart disease. This type of care is focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of illness. However, there are many myths and misconceptions about hospice and palliative care that limit access to this important service. This session will pull back the curtain and answer all your key questions about hospice and palliative care, such as when is the right time to start? Where is care provided? Who provides care? And who pays? We all want care that is consistent with our goals and values. This session will provide you with essential information to help you advocate for you and your loved ones to the very end.
The speaker, Brianna Morgan, is a Geriatric and Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner with a decade of nursing experience caring for older adults living with serious illnesses including dementia, cancer, and severe brain injury.
