Fascism in the U.S.?

Presented by Northwest Village Network

NVN welcomes back Dr. Paul Selbst, popular speaker at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Temple University [OLLI]

Political pundits have been warning Americans that authoritarianism is lurking on our political doorstep. The last four years have made that evident, and troubling political dynamics continue.

Why are populism and authoritarianism now becoming central to America's politics?

Should we be concerned?

Dr. Selbst , a former professor at St. Joseph’s College in Maine, continues to be active  in his “non-retirement,” pursuing his longtime interests in political science, music, and poetry. He spoke to NVN in 2019 about “Capitalism and Social Democracy” and sang folk songs at NVN’s 2021 Valentine’s party. A man of many talents!
