Manayunk Timber and Dead King Bread
Thursday, April 2, 3 PM
Manayunk Timber, 5100 Umbria Street, near Domino Lane [Google Map]
Members only. Free. Registration required - online (log in first), or call or text 267-444-4507 (M-F, 9-6).
Join us in exploring Manayunk Timber, a sustainable sawmill providing salvaged local wood with quality and texture. See how entrepreneurs Steve Eber and his daughter Rebecca have transformed a parking lot into a unique asset to our community and the greater Philadelphia area. Click here to learn more about this remarkable enterprise.
Dead King Bread, a popular local bakery "where misfit bakers have a good time making slow bread," is on the same site, but it doesn't open until 4 PM Thursday, a half hour after Manayunk Timber closes. We can spend the time exploring Umbria Arts, an art gallery and bookstore, on the same site.
