About this event

"Saving Claire"
Wednesday, March 4 at 2 pm
Falls Library Meeting Room, 3501 Midvale Ave. (Midvale Avenue entrance)  [Google Map]

Everyone welcome. Free.

"Saving Claire"

Join East Falls Village for a short film, “Saving Claire,” about a woman who had a fall and then refused to follow the orders of any medical personnel.

“Saving Claire” is based on “Defying Gravity,” a play written by Linda Goodman, who became a playwright at the age of 70.

Do you know a “Claire”? Are you a “Claire?”

Afterwards, occupational therapist Dawn Heiderscheidt will lead us in an interesting activity to help us see the risks we each have for falling. And she will explain some ways we can reduce or prevent our risks for falls.

Dawn Heiderscheidt, MOT, OTR/L, ECHM, CAPS, has over a decade of experience as a practicing occupational therapist and has created Aurora Independence to help people have a safer, more accessible home.

She also serves as the Wellness and Prevention Specialist for UU Outreach, a free service for older adults who live
in most parts of NW Philadelphia.

Accessible. Enter by walkway from Warden Drive, near mailbox.
