Penn Museum Tour
Wednesday, October 2, 10:15 AM (meet at East Falls Station at 9:35 AM to take train; don't forget your SEPTA Key Card!)

Home to over a million extraordinary artifacts and archaeological finds from Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Mediterranean, the Penn Museum has been uncovering our shared humanity across continents and millennia since 1887. We will wander its galleries (and gift shop).
We'll check out the special exhibit, Ancient Food and Flavor. What can burned seeds, dried meats, or waterlogged fruits, remarkably preserved for thousands of years, tell us about the past? Find out what archaeologists have learned about what ancient people were growing, eating, and drinking, based on evidence left behind at three sites.
Please pay for your own ticket ($16 for seniors); we'll email you with payment details shortly before our visit. Parking is limited and expensive, so we'll take the train from East Falls Station. We can share Lyft or Uber to return (about $25 for up to three to the same destination), or stay for lunch and take a later train (12:49 or 1:49( train back to East Falls.

Accessibility: Some galleries are reached by steps; ask staff if you need to use a lift. Accessible from Penn Medicine (University City) train station. Big steps up to train at East Falls Station, and steps in tunnel to platform.
