About this event

At last - an in-person event!

Are you getting bored with the same old walks in your neighborhood?  Too many people out for safe spacing?  Join us to check out the lovely grounds of Laurel Hill Cemetery. Marvel at the monuments, some poignant, some grand, and even some quirky.  Click here to learn more about this historic cemetery.

Meet us there inside the main entrance at 9:30 (don't forget your mask!).  We are not providing carpooling during COVID, so you will need to arrange your own transportation. There's parking across the street from the entrance, on Ridge Avenue, and inside the main entrance. Restrooms are closed.  Plan ahead!

This is not a tour, but a leisurely stroll.
If you have trouble getting around, or want to explore the far corners, driving and parking on the cemetery roads is fine. The office is closed, but there are maps and brochures in a stand outside (and a box for donations).

We are limiting this walk to 12 people (to make physical distancing  easier).  Please register on line or at 267-444-4507 (M-F, 9-6), so we can keep track of numbers, and let you know if weather presents a problem.

Accessibility: There is much to see while driving or walking on the roads, which are generally in good condition with gentle slopes.  The walkways may have steps, some without handrails.  The grassy areas can be uneven.

Members only.  Free (but donations welcome).  Registration required.
