Let's walk around East Falls with birder Navin Sasikumar to see what birds hang around the neighborhood in the winter.

We can familiarize ourselves with the common feeder birds, and maybe we'll get lucky and see something uncommon.  We can also keep an eye out for any wintering raptors and ducks.

We will end the day with a warm cup of coffee at Vault and Vine where we can talk about the basics of setting up our own feeding stations to attract birds as well as gardening for wildlife.

If you have binoculars, please bring them.

We will meet at the War Memorial in McMichael Park - the Henry Avenue side of the Park.

A little background:  Fallser Navi Sasikumar has been birding for about four years now and leads trips for BirdPhilly/DVOC as well as regular monthly walks at the John Heinz NWR at Tinicum.  Navin is an urban birder and likes birding within city limits.  He is very interested in improving habitat with native plants in green spaces in the city.

Rain/snow date: Saturday, Feb 3.

Please register here on line or at 267-444-4507 (M-F, 9-6) so we know to look for you.
