Calendar Girls
Saturday Matinee Theatre Party
January 12 at 2 pm

Old Academy Players
3544 Indian Queen Lane

When Annie’s husband, John, dies of leukemia, she and best friend Chris resolve to raise money for a new settee for the local hospital. They manage to persuade fellow Women’s Club members to pose nude with them for an “alternative” calendar. News of the calendar spreads like wildfire, and hordes of press soon descend on their small English village.  This hilarious play is based on the true story of eleven women. It became the fastest selling play in British history and a 2003 movie starting Helen Mirren.

The East Falls Village Theatre Party is a fundraiser for the EFV Assisted Membership Fund – we are doing a Theatre Party instead of an “alternative calendar.” Please bring a guest. Non-members are welcome.

To purchase tickets at our special price of $15, go to the Calendar of Events for eastfallsvillage.org. and register online with a credit card. You may also email info@eastfallsvillage.org  or call the Village phone (267-444-4507), with your name(s)  and number of tickets and then send a check to EFCC, PO Box 12672, 19129. Be sure to put “Theatre Party” on the subject line of the check, along with the number of tickets.  Please provide an email and/or phone number in case we need to contact you.

There will be refreshments upstairs during the 20-minute intermission.  Persons with mobility issues may use the restroom in the Carfax building next door (only a few steps) and limited refreshments will be provided.
