Tour of the Water Department Wastewater Treatment Plant

Wednesday, October 11, 9:30 – 12 noon

Meet at the Falls Library at 9:30 for carpooling to the Plant at 25 E. Pattison Avenue

NOTE: You must bring a photo ID, sign a liability waiver, and wear closed-toe shoes. No photography is allowed.

This two-hour walking tour will begin with a long walk to a classroom, where we’ll learn about the history and structure of wastewater management. Then we’ll walk through the plant and see the operation. There are stairs and we will be on our feet for 60-90 minutes, but it is not a strenuous walk. The tour will take place regardless of the weather.

Village member Susan Erickson says the tour is “a fascinating glimpse into a subject I never thought I’d be interested in.”
