Mural Arts Trolley Tour
Saturday, August 19, 10 AM to 12 noon. Meet at 128 N. Broad St. (Hamilton Building of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts) no later than 9:45 AM. To carpool, meet at the Falls Library at 9 AM.
Journey South explores the rich cultural heritage of South Philadelphia and highlights beautiful, inventive art splashed along walls, gateways and thoroughfares. A short walking component introduces a more intimate view of some of the works. A trained guide will talk about the artists, the techniques they used, the subject of the mural, and the involvement of the community. The tour is two hours long.
