Zoom Yoga has proved to be very popular – a chance to connect with other Village members, to exercise, and to relax at the end of each session. It’s very easy and convenient – and can be done from the comfort of your own home – or even a vacation spot – on a computer, tablet, or even a smartphone!
We have two instructors and each class is slightly different: the Tuesday class, taught by Lillian Rozin, includes some poses done on a mat (or rug); the Thursday class, taught by Shiva Das, is done while sitting on a sturdy armless chair and standing behind the chair for balance. Each class includes a focus on breathing, balance, and stretching as well as a chance to relax and de-stress.

Note that the Thursday class does not require getting on the floor – just a chair. By turning on the “Speaker View” you get a closeup of the instructor – some class members say it’s easier to hear and see on Zoom. And if you are self-conscious, you can turn off the video – and all we’ll see is your name.
The next paid series of yoga classes will be Tuesdays (July 14 – August 25) and Thursdays (July 16 - August 27). You may register for both sessions – or just one afternoon per week.
