About this event
Explore this grand Beaux-Arts building, which opened on the Ben Franklin Parkway in 1927.
The free 10 a.m. tour showcases the Library's unique architecture and history while covering its many collections and services.
Those who wish can continue by joining the free tour of the Rare Book Collection at 11, which explores the history of the book, along with some of the Library's most rare holdings:
The Rare Book Department is among the largest in American Public Libraries. It contains collections of Americana, and the writings of Dickens, Poe, Beatrix Potter, and many more.
We will take the 32 bus, 9 a.m. at Henry Avenue and Queen Lane, or if you prefer, meet us at the Library a little before 10.
Please register here on line or at 267-444-4507 (M-F, 9-6) so we know to look for you.
