PHILADELPHIA: FINDING THE HIDDEN CITY

Wednesday May 16, 6:30 pm
Falls of Schuylkill Library, Midvale Ave. and Warden Dr. (use Midvale Ave. entrance)

Celebrate Philadelphia’s hidden architectural treasures as Peter Woodall, co-author of Philadelphia: Finding the Hidden City, explores “secret places in familiar locations” that have almost disappeared around Philadelphia, from the Metropolitan Opera House on North Broad Street to Holmesburg Prison to the Divine Lorraine Hotel.

Mr. Woodall's powerpoint-enhanced talk will be presented Wednesday, May 16 at 6:30pm at the Falls of Schuylkill Library.  The program, sponsored by the East Falls Historical Society, is free and open to the public.  Light refreshments will be served.

Copies of Philadelphia: Finding the Hidden City, published by Temple University Press, will be available for purchase ($40).

Peter Woodall is a former newspaper reporter and producer for public radio. He co-founded the website Hidden City Daily and is the project director of Hidden City Philadelphia.
