Village member Cynthia Kishinchand will lead us on a tour of City Hall, an architectural treasure, inside and out.

We will meet at the East Falls SEPTA station for the 9:48  train to Suburban Station (arrives 10:07- a 10 minute walk from City Hall).  Or, if you prefer, you can meet us at the City Hall Tour Office at 10:45, where we will pay the tour fee of $10 for seniors.  The office is located off the open passageway connecting City Hall Courtyard to the east side of the building.  The tour will begin at 11 and end at 1.

We will visit the most ornate of the public rooms: City Council, Conversation Hall, the Mayor's Reception Room, and the Supreme Court.  There will also be time for the Observation Deck at the Tower, which provides spectacular views, weather permitting.

City Center is lively this time of year, especially with the attraction of the Christmas Village (opens at 11) at newly renovated Love Park.  Shopping there is optional, following our tour.
