Visit the Zoo with friends and neighbors on a small private tour led be Zoo docent and Village member Sally Pearne. The Philadelphia Zoo
is the oldest in America and is home to more than 1300 rare and endangered animals from around the world. Conservation is a primary theme, and Sally will emphasize ways in which the Zoo supports conservation, and how the public can help.
Giving tours is Sally's favorite activity as a docent; Sally will include favorite animals of the group.
Admission to the Zoo is $23, payable at the entrance. There is no fee for Zoo members.
Parking is a 5 minute walk from the main entrance, at the top of the Girard Avenue exit from the Schuylkill Expressway, east-bound. Parking is $16. We suggest meeting at the Falls Library at 9:00 for carpooling. If you would like to go directly to the Zoo, please meet at the North Gate at 9:30.
Please register promptly, here on line or at 267-444-4507, so we can let Sally know how many to expect.
