What is this?
The house, built in 1722 and a National Historic Landmark, is the only surviving residence of a Colonial Pennsylvania Governor. Constructed in the English style of the time, the house has remained virtually intact since the late 18th century. The final owner, Welsh Strawbridge, gave it to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1958.
The surrounding 42 acres of trails and streams is home to many native species of plants and trees.
There is an entrance fee of $5 for seniors.
Please meet for carpooling at the library at 9:30, for the 40-45 minute drive to Graeme Park to see this interesting historic property.
Please register here on line or at 267-444-4507 (M-F, 9-6) so we know how many to expect.
