The first of Fred Vincent's new series, Explore Philadelphia, will cover Historic Philadelphia.
including are the renewed Independence Visitor Center with an expanded book store, new exhibit areas, and new film presentations.  We will also take a look at the immense new WaWa nearby.

We will have lunch at the newly opened Bourse, 111 S Independence Mall East.  Once home to the nation's first commodities exchange market, the 123 year old Bourse building is now restored to its original glory and lives on as an artisenal food hall of diverse menus, new concepts and renowned chefs.

Fred has served as a Philadelphia guide for Road Scholars when they are in town.  He brings his enthusiasm for Philadelphia and his knowledge of the city to show us around many Philadelphia neighborhoods.  He makes it lots of fun.  Do join us!

We will take the 10:23 train from the East Falls SEPTA station to Jefferson Station, and then walk.
