There are many benefits of mindfulness/meditation. In general, meditation helps the breath and heart rate slow, blood pressure and tension decrease, and digestive function improve. Meditation is a way to calm the mind and body, relax and pay little attention to thoughts as they drift in and out of your mind. There are many ways to practice mindfulness.
