Tour of the Queen Lane Water Treatment Plant

Have you ever driven along Henry Avenue, Queen Lane, or Fox Street and wondered about the Water Department reservoir and buildings? Now you can find out on our guided tour of the Queen Lane Water Treatment Plant, one of three in the city operated by the Philadelphia Water Department.
The tour will take place inside the water treatment facility and also outside on the grounds. The tour will take place in the weather of the day - even if it's hot or a mild rain.
In case of severe weather, the tour will be cancelled and registrants will be notified by email.
Pre-registration is required by July 25. The group is limited to 20 members and guests.
Other requirements – closed-toe shoes and signing a liability waiver. The waiver will be handed out at the beginning of the tour.
Note – Part of the tour is on uneven ground and there are several sets of steps, some of which may be steep.
Recommended – Hat, sunscreen, and a bottle of water.
